Funeral services for Roger Allen "Grizzly" Adams, 62, of Lufkin will be held Friday, December 1, 2006 at 10 a.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Elton Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielder Cemetery. Mr. Adams was born September 27, 1944 in Tyro, Oklahoma, to Freda May (McKee) and Elmer Clyde Adams, and died Tuesday, November 28, 2006 in a local hospital.

Mr. Adams had resided in Lufkin for the past 38 years. He, along with his wife, owned and operated Grizzly's. Mr. Adams loved kids and was very active in the community, and family was always first in his life. He was of the Baptist faith.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Turman, Neil Mitchell, David Murphy, Jarod Murphy, Bill Simpson, Dink Crawford, Mike Selman and Scott Fenley. Honorary pallbearers will be Gus Brewer and Fred Thomas. The family will welcome friends and loved ones for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home, Lufkin, directors.
