A. Clinton Martin was born March 28, 1892, in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, the son of the late John Alfred and Annie Ogle Martin, Of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

He was baptized in 1907 by the Reverend George Henry in the Memorial Lutheran Church, of Shippensburg, becoming a member of the church at the same time. The following year the family moved to Chambersburg, and he transferred his church membership to the First Lutheran Church.

In 1912, he married Helen Palmer, and they had one daughter, Dorothy, married to Robert Shively.

Mr. Martin was employed as a mechanical designer in Chambersburg for a number of years and later in Waynesboro.

He was a member of George Washington Lodge, No. 143, F. & A.M., Kearney Lodge No. 159, Knights of Pythias.

He passed away May 13, 1940, and was buried at Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.
