Columbus Republic 15 Sep 1980: Margaret Haeseler [3336 Spruce]

Margaret M. Haeseler, 85, mother of Mrs. Marion Huseby, 3336 Spruce, with whom she had made her home since December, died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday at Bartholomew County Hospital.
Funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon at Morgan Funeral Home at Mount Vernon, Iowa, and burial will be at Lisbon Cemetery at Lisbon, Iowa. There are no calling hours at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home were local arrangements were made.
Mrs. Haeseler was born March 3, 1895, in Milford, Iowa, daughter of Herbert S. and Elizabeth Whitcomb Holge. She was married to Melvin B. Haeseler April 9, 1917, and he died Sept. 13, 1979. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Mr. Vernon, Iowa, where she was a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Garden Club and Farm Bureau. She also assisted her husband in operating the family farm.
Surviving besides the daughter are one son, John A. Haeseler, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Gail Lahman, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Dorothy Thompson, Sacramento, Calif., and seven grandchildren.
