Mattie Beach
The death of Mattie Beach, only daughter of Willard and Rosanna Beach, occurred at their residence, in Washington township, on April 3d. The funeral, conducted by pastor J. H. Edwards, took place on the 5th inst. And the body was interred in Luther cemetery.

DIED.
BEACH. -- April ?, only child of Willard and Rosanna Beach, aged four years and four months.
Your little darling used to stand,
With eyes of heaven's own blue,
And day to pay and ma: "I have
A kiss for both of you."
She was your joy, your heart's delight,
In those bright days gone by,
But as you're dreaming o'er the past,
A tear comes in your eye.
She calls no more when you come home,
As oft she used to do,
To pa and ma that she is here,
And has a kiss for you.
Alas, how lonely now your life,
As through the world you roam,
Since no sweet Mattie calls for you,
To bid you welcome home;
No loving arms thrown round you now,
No eyes so sweetly blue,
No sweet voice from your cottage door,
That she's a kiss for you.
Yet O what comfort to your hearts,
That when you're called away
From toils below to joys above,
In that eternal day;
That there she'll meet you at the gate,
And say to both her pa and ma,
"I have a kiss for you."
