" VEEDERSBURG - Mrs. Josie May Carpenter, 75, died Tuesday at Bratton nursing home, near Rockville, where she had been a patient 16 months. She had been seriously ill the last three weeks. Born near Veedersburg, she was married to James M. Carpenter in 1907. He died in 1935. She was a member of the New Liberty Christian church, south east of Veedersburg.
