BILLY JOE BULLARD was born 20 Jun 1935 in Golden, and died 09 Feb 2007 in Canyon, Randall County, Texas. He married PEGGY ANN EVERHART 12 Oct 1956 in Tucumcari, Quay County, New Mexico, daughter of WILLIE EVERHART and CLARA DUNAVANT. She was born 08 Mar 1938 in Quitaque, Briscoe County, Texas.CANYON - Billy Joe Bullard, 71, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Brooks Funeral Directors Chapel with Dr. David Lowrie, pastor of First Baptist Church of Canyon, officiating.

Bill was born June 20, 1935, in Golden to James Clinton Bullard and Mattie Faye Branum. Bill served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1958. On Oct. 12, 1956, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Peggy Ann Everhart, in Tucumcari, N.M. Bill taught metal trades at Palo Duro High School from 1970-1980. He then taught industrial cooperative trades at Canyon High School from 1980-1991. Bill was a talented wood carver, storyteller, fisherman, all around craftsman, and loved traveling the states. He loved working on his family genealogy and meeting distant relations. It has been said by those close to him that there was not one negative thing to be said in regards to his character. More than anything, Bill loved sharing the gospel of Christ. He preached at Faith City Mission, served as deacon of his church, and took the gospel to many lands.

Special thanks are extended to his best friends Jimmy Marrs and Gary Jones; also to Dr. James Martindale, Dr. Kevin Raef, Dr. Eric Cox, Bob Thomas, Odyssey Health Care, and especially Ramona Pike. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles; They will run and not get tired; They will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:31

Survivors include his wife of 50 years; a daughter, Cheryl Aaron and husband Kurt of Dalhart; two sons, Bryan Bullard and wife Joann of Sugarland and Randy Bullard and wife Dana of Canyon; two sisters, Wanda Tucker and Dorothy Saunders; two brothers, Tom Bullard and Kenneth Bullard; his mother-in-law, Clara Everhart; nine grandchildren, Aaron Duncan, Adam Duncan and wife Jeremee, Alyssa Duncan, Pamela Aaron, Brianne Bullard, Paul Bullard, John Bud Bullard, Dani Bullard and Josh Bullard; and his "coffee buddies."

Viewing will from from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today.

The family suggests memorials be to Faith City Mission, P.O. Box 870, Amarillo, TX 79105.
