Born in Washington, D.C., Mr. Auth graduated from St. John's College High School in 1927. He worked with his father in the operation of the N. Auth Provision Co., founded by his grandfather in 1875. In 1934 he founded the Auth Sausage Co. Inc. He was president and chairman of the board at the time of his death.
He was survived by his wife Helen Auth; a son, Anton N. Auth; daughters Bertha A. Maguire and Betty Brown; a brother, Bernard F.; two sisters, Catherine Daw and Bertha Bussink.
