Injuries Fatal to Francis Ackerman
Francis H Ackerman, 43, who had been in a coma since March 30, 1966, died Setptember 16 at Parkhill Manor Nursing home. Mr. Ackerman had been injured in a logging mishap at New Meadows where he was employed as an equipment operator.
He was born Feb. 13, 1924 at Yakima, Wash., a son of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Ackerman. He attended grade school at Glentana, Mont., and high school at Grangeville. He was a resident of Elk City from 1956 until 1961. From then until 1964 he lived at Grangeville. He lived in the New Meadows vicinity until the accident occurred and the family moved back to Grangeville.
From 1949-50 Ackerman was serving with the U.S. Army.
