Mrs. Sarah McCawley Baird, 77, died last Sunday morning at the home of her son, McCawley Baird, St. Louis.

She had been in ill health for quite some time.

Funeral services were conducted by William E. Bennett, of East St. Louis, at her home on Morgan street in Olney Tuesday afternoon.
Burial was in Haven Hill Cemetery.

She was born in Clay City, daughter of the late J. J. McCawley, pioneer of Clay City. Her husband, John T. Baird a veteran of the Civil War died two years ago.

Surviving are one son, McCawley Baird; one sister, Mrs. R. S. Rowland of Olney, and one grandchild, Miss Lleqwllyn Baird of East St. Louis.
