Mrs. May Carter, 80, of 438 Dodge St., Stuarts Draft, and a former resident of Springdale Apts., Waynesboro, died Friday night (Oct. 5) at Waynesboro Community Hospital.
She was born Feb. 1, 1910, at Esty, W. Va., a daughter of Robert and Jane Boggs McCormick.
She was a member of Aero Drive Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Surviving are a son, Lacy Gilbert Boyce of Joppa, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Dollie McCoy of Frankfort, W. Va.; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
A service was conducted at 11 a.m. today in the Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home by the Revs. Daniel W. Hines and Don A. McClure.
Burial will be at Sherando United Methodist Church cemetery.
