Elmer Mac Edward McKinley, Jr., 84, passed away, Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012. He was born Oct. 11, 1928 in Topeka, the son of Elmer E. and Ada (Smith) McKinley.

Elmer graduated from Topeka High School.

On Feb. 10, 1952, he married Myrna Cregut in Topeka.

He worked for the City of Topeka Water Dept. and retired after 36 years. Elmer was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder and a member of the City of Topeka Retiree group.

His church and family were most important to him.

Survivors include his wife, Myrna; son, Ed (Sandy) McKinley; daughter, Charlotte (Mike) Leeper; grandchildren, Micheal Leeper, Jr., Matthew (Bethany) Leeper, Kathryn (Az) Corona, Caroline McKinley; a sister, Charlotte Mabry, Shawnee KS; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Alice Binney and Eleanor Johnson.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 1821 SW 37th St., Topeka. Funeral service will be at 11a.m. Burial will follow at Shawnee Center Cemetery in Wakarusa. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Salvation Army, Topeka Rescue Mission, or Doorstep, sent in care of Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka KS 66614.
