His brothers, Virgil and Greenbury, also enlisted on the side of the Union. George served until the end of the war and was mustered out on July 18, 1865. By the end of the war they had lost most of their possessions.
Mary was pregnant with their last child, Robert, when the following Federal Census was taken. He was born on December 4, 1870.

Zeke's name was shown as E.Z. Williams on his death certificate. He & Ella were living in Hamlin, Jones Co, TX when he was admitted to Hamlin Memorial Hospital for Prostate Cancer. He died there at 3:30 p.m. on October 2, 1951. He had lived 90 years, 5 months, & 25 days. His son, P.H. Williams, was the informant on his death certificate. He was buried on October 5th.
