James Henry Breshears, 82, died suddenly at the home of his son, Roy Breshears, about 4:10 am Sunday. His wife Drusilla Ann died at 2:25 PM at the same place. She was 84. They had been married sixty years.

Cause of death in both cases was heart attack. Mr. Breshears had undergone major surgery two weeks ago in Lubbock, but had been dismissed from the hospital and was believed to be recovering satisfactorily.

Joint funeral services have been set for 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Central Christian Church, with burial in the family plot in Portales Cemetery. Glenn Hull, minister of Central Christian Church, will officiate, assisted by Grover C. Ross.

They are survived by three sons, Raymond W., of Portland, Oregon, Willis L. of Levelland, Texas; and Roy of Portales. Mr. Breshears had no surviving brothers or sisters. Mrs. Breshears is survived by three brothers, Leo Johmson, Mt. Vernon, Mo.; Dio Johnson, Grants Pass, Oregon; and Ora Johnson, Portales. There are three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
