Doris Winnifred Johnson, 81, of Gardner, Kansas, passed away October 6, 2003, at Olathe Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, October 9, 2003, at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, Kansas. Burial in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens, Shawnee, Kansas. Visitation will be 10 am until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Meadowbrook Rehabilitation Center, Gardner, Kansas.
Mrs Johnson was born October 2 [10th on marker], 1922 in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Kansas City Missouri College of Commerce Business School.
On March 5, 1948 she married Robert L "Bob" Johnson in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death January 2, 2003.
She moved to Gardner in November 1999, before that she lived in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Doris had worked as a Court Reporter and Transcriber from 1957-1977 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Gardner, Kansas. Doris was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Harold E Hendron and Olga Marion Kruska Hendron and sister, Mary Charlotte Gabhart.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Donna Lynn Mulford (husband, Matthew), Denver, Colorado and four grandchildren: Elizabeth, Lee, Katy and Robert Mulford.
