FITZGERALD, TIMOTHY F., JR., 78, of Ocean City, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2005 at Atlantic Care Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City. Born in and raised in Ocean City, he was a native of the city having lived here his entire life. Tim was a veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Navy. He was Senior Vice Commander of V.F.W. Poat #6650 of Ocean City and a member of American Legion Post of Ocean City. He was a graduate of Glassboro State College, where he received a B.S. and M.S. in education. Tim taught Middle School Science in Barrington and Cherry Hill until his retirement in 1987. Beloved husband of the late Catherine Fitzgerald, he is survived by his sister Dorothy Fitzgerald of Somers Point. A service of Memory and Love will be offered Tuesday at 12 o'clock noon Friday at the Godfrey Funeral Home, 809 Central Avenue, Ocean City. His interment will be private at the convience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humnane Society of Ocean City, One Shelter Road, Ocean City NJ 08226.
