John E. Ulaky, 80, of 404 Windy Tor Road, Leola, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, March 26, 2009.

Born in Oliphant, PA he was the son of the late John and Anna Ulaky. He was married 54 years on Sept. 4 to Elizabeth A. (Fleming) Ulaky.

He retired in 1989 from RCA in Lancaster as Manager of Shipping and Receiving after 35 years with the company.

He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, John A., married to Kimberly (Laughlin) Ulaky of Mt Nebo, Robert E. Ulaky of Forked River, NJ, and Thomas J., married to Denise (DeBonis) Ulaky of Mt. Nebo; and five grandchildren.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 30 at 11 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 150 Water St., New Holland, with Fr. John D. Schmalhofer officiating. Interment will be in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Sunday from 6-8 pm at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
