Old Resident Dead
"Frank Widdig died in Lucasville yesterday, age 82"
Frank Widdig, an old resident of Lucasville, died yesterday evening of old age and cancer. He was born in Germany 82 years ago, but has lived in this country the greater part of his life. He was the father of Val Widdig, employed by the Damarons and Mrs. Jacob Brunner, of this city. The remains will be brought here tomorrow on the N & W, and will be taken direct from the train to Greenlawn cemetery for burial.

Per Grandson Harold Bice: Very little known of Wilhelm except that he came from Germany at a very young age and never corresponded with his family as he feared he would be taken back to serve in the army. It is also believed that a brother immigrated with him and went on west, never to be heard from again.
