John Wesley married Mary J. Flock on 17 Dec. 1871 in Hamilton Square, Mercer Co., NJ. They had two sons, Stephen F. and Albert (both linked below).

FUNERAL WEDNESDAY FOR J. WESLEY REED

HAMILTON SQUARE, APRIL 16. -- Funeral services for J. Wesley Reed, retired farmer, who died Saturday after a long illness, will be held at his late home on Mercer Street on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. E. C. Burke, pastor of the Hamilton Square Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, under direction of W. T. Saul, of this place.

Born at Reed's Mills, Lawrence Station, near here, 77 years ago, Mr. Reed conducted a large farm there until 18 years ago when he retired and removed to this place. He was a member of the Baptist Church here for 55 years, being a trustee for the past several years.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary J. Reed; a son, Albert Reed, of Yardville; and two grandchildren, Albert J. and Beatrice F. Reed. Another son, the Rev. Stephen F. Reed, a Baptist minister, died several years ago.
