Born March 7, 1944, in Rensselaer, his parents were Ira M. Criswell and Mary Alice Warren Criswell.
He married Sharon "Shari" Dennis on Dec. 31, 1983, in Winamac, and she survives.
Mr. Criswell was a 40-year member of Local IBEW 688 Union of Lafayette. He taught the apprenticeships for Local 668 for several years.
He was a member of Monon Community Assembly of God Church. He was very involved in the construction of the new church.
He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed his home on the Big Monon.
Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Shannon Jurdzy (husband: Wayne) of Monticello, Bethany Velligan (husband: Steve) of Cocoa, Fla., and Tracy Murphy (husband: Brent) of Venice, Fla.; one brother, Michael Criswell of Wolcott; and a sister, Alice Souligne of Stockton, Calif.
