Peter Eugene Macht by Cecelia Tibbetts.

He gave himself his middle name because he didn't have one. Pete was 4 years younger than my mother and they always got along good together. He wasn't in school when I started staying there. He worked on the farm and township roads. He used to come to Wamego at our house, especially week ends, when he came to see his girl friend. He called me (it sounded like sa-cup-cus) and it stuck with me for a while.

He and his wife Edith came to Westmoreland to see us after they were married and sometimes took me home with them for a week. Their farm was just 6 miles from Westmoreland. They moved to Wamego after they sold their farm and retired.

His wife was Edith McProud. Pete and Edith are buried in Wamego Cemetery. Pete was 85 years old when he died.
