She was graduated from Wamego High School and attended Kansas State Teachers College, Emporia. She taught in Cottonwood and Jenkins rural schools in Pottawatomie County. She later worked for Pottawatomie County in the Noxious Weed Depart. She had been a member of the Busy Bee Club in Pottawatomie County.
She was married to Peter E. Macht, July 30, 1929, at Topeka. He died February 26, 1984.
Survivors include a son, Kimber E. Macht of San Jose, Calif.; a daughter, Jo Ann Lauffer of Perry; two granddaughters and two great- grandchildren.
Cremation was planned. Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Stewart Funeral Home, Wamego.
