Randall Robison Browne, son of John Allen Browne and Patsy Hobbs Browne was born, possibly in Cumberland Co. NC.(brother Judge Newburne Browne was born in Cumberland in 1824). He married Susan Emerson, and also Mary Norris. Between the two, he had around 20 children. Randall moved with his family to Tuscaloosa in 1834 and he lived there the rest of his life. Randall was a brother to Lewis Devereaux, and Judge Newburne Hobbs Browne, who lived in Tuscaloosa as well.
Randall is buried in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. This cemetery is located behind the church on East University St. in Tuscaloosa. He has many Browne relatives buried around him in the north side of this small cemetery. I welcome any inquiries on the Browne family. Randall's brother Lewis was my great grandfather. This is the same person as Randall Brown who has a memorial listed in Mount Hope Cemetery in Vance, Alabama in error. The obituary seen on this (and the other) memorial states his funeral and burial are at Hopewell Cemetery in Tuscaloosa. The other memorial is #35131381. Once the Mount Hope memorial is moved to the correct cemetery here, I will delete, transfer or merge this one.
