Phineas Clayton Saxon
Phineas Clayton Saxon was the youngest of the nine children of Alexander and Mary Baldwin Saxon. One brother, John L. Saxon, named a son Phineas C. Saxon (1833-1834). Phineas married Salenah "Salena" Ferguson, daughter of Micajah Ferguson and Frances Isbell Ferguson, on 25 Feb 1836 in Wayne Co., IN. Their sons were Leroy Saxon and Theodore Saxon.
On Memorial Day 2011 "Saxon Descendant" crosses were placed in remembrance of the 200th anniversary of Saxons in Fayette Co., IN.
