SHELBY Mrs. Pauline Blanton Waters, 87, a beloved mother, grandmother and sister, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 3, 2004, at Oak Grove Health Care in Rutherfordton.
Born Nov. 6, 1916, in Laurel, Miss., she was a daughter of the late Shelton and Minnie Alewine Blanton. She retired from Dover Mill Co. and was a member of Dover Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Waters; a son, Jerry Waters; and a number of brothers and sisters.
She is survived by a son, Ronald Waters of Shelby; a daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Ronnie Edmondson of Boiling Springs; three brothers, Joe Blanton of Mooresboro, S.A. Blanton of Kings Mountain and John Blanton of Battle Creek, Mich.; a sister, Shirley Hawkins of Anderson, S.C.; grandchildren and their spouses, Tamara and Robert Rape, Tiana Waters, Michele and Steve Putnam, Ginger and Wesley Hamrick, Vince and Debbie Holland, Wendy and Jesse Burnette and Scott Waters; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Cleveland Memorial Park.
