Vera M. Kinkade, age 87, Spring City, passed away at 4:50 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016 at her home. Vera was born April 27, 1929 in Spring City to the late Earl E. Cornell and Clara Kleine Cornell and was a lifetime resident. A homemaker, she was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was involved with Sunday School and was a gifted musician of multiple instruments including piano, organ, guitar, zither and others. Vera participated in cancer drives, was a former 4-H leader and enjoyed spending time gardening. She will be missed by all that knew her. In addition to her parents, Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kenneth Kinkade; a daughter, Karla Jo; five brothers, Herbert, Vearl, Karl, Alvin and Leo; and a sister, Leila Ferguson. Survivors include two sons, Mike Kinkade and Toby Kinkade; three daughters, Kenna Ault, Linda Brooks, Mary Kinkade; two brothers, Edwin Cornell and Kenneth Cornell; two sisters-in-law, Kathleen Cornell, Geri Riggs; one brother-in-law, Tom Kinkade; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and two great great granddaughters. Services are planned for Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the home of the son, Mike Kinkade, 5416 Dolphin Drive, Spring City. Mark Ferguson will officiate. Interment will follow at Burkhart Cemetery, Racine. The family will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
