Funeral services for William Timothy Brooks, 95, who died peacefully at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Fla., on Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, will be at noon Monday at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Dr. Malone Chandler officiating.

Burial will follow at Orion Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until noon Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Brooks, who was formerly of Troy, was a warrant officer in the U.S. Navy, serving in World War II, the Korean Conflict and Navy AUTEC.

He had a life of tremendous accomplishments and was loved and deeply respected by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Fannie Brooks; brothers, James Brooks, Phenix Brooks, Joe Brooks and David Brooks; and sisters, Nora Guthrie, Eula Brooks and Myrtle Brooks.

Survivors include a brother, Jacob Brooks; sisters, Frances Young and Mattie Johnson; three daughters, Barbara Jackson, Beatrice Boehm and Brenda Schofield; six granddaughters; six grandsons; six great-grandsons; and five great-granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Orion Methodist Church.
