BELMONT - Mary Alice Arrowood Hoffman, 92, of 103 Apricot St., died Saturday, March 21, 2009.

She was born in McDowell County, daughter of the late Jerry and Sarah Rumfelt Arrowood.

She was wife of the late Ross Lee Hoffman.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Romarion Blanton and Mary Catherine Wallace; five brothers, Golden, Fletcher, Monroe, Sam and Clyde Arrowood; and three sisters, Zonie Collins, Hessie Conner and Lillie Mace.

Survivors include two sons, Roger Lee Hoffman of Lowell and Lester Glenn Hoffman of Dallas; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Marion with the Rev. Vernon Cope and Rev. Odell Cook officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.

Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly is serving the family of Mrs. Hoffman.
