Theresa Gaerdner
Mrs. Theresa Gaerdner, nee Saeger, wife of Mr. Fred G. Gaerdner, the well known merchant tailor of West Main Street, died at 12:15 o'clock this morning at the family residence, No. 18 West Main Street, aged 48 years, 3 months and 4 days.
The deceased was a native of Pennsylvania and was born on May 3, 1854. She came west, to Belleville with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Seeger, several years ago. On October 5, 1871, she was married to Fred G. Gaerdner, who survives her together with the following children: Peter, Lizzie, wife of Charles Stegemeyer, Fred Jr., and Miss Annie at home. She also leaves her sisters Mrs. John Brunner, Mrs. Joseph Herzler, Mrs. Louis Klaus, and Mrs. Aug. Held and her brother Louis Seeger, all of Belleville. She also leaves four grandchildren.
The Funeral takes place at 2 p.m. Saturday to St. Peters Cathedral and thence to Walnut Hill Cemetery.
