McLEAN - Bonnie Maybell Dickson Nash, 92, died Friday, March 20, 2009.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church in McLean with the Rev. Thacker Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean.

Mrs. Nash was born Feb. 7, 1917, in Kiowa, Okla., to James Amerson and Della Mae Smith Dickson. She and all her siblings had names that started with the letters "M" and "A." She went by her middle name, Maybell.

She graduated from Wellington High School and married Shelton B. Nash on Jan. 9, 1941, in Sweetwater. Her brother-in-law, husband of her sister Mayola, the Rev. Amos R. Meador of Borger officiated at the ceremony.

Maybell and Shelton were residents of McLean, where they were cattle ranchers. They had resided on their ranch near Alanreed until a tornado destroyed their home in the early 1970s.

After the tornado, they lived in their home in McLean. She loved being with her sisters, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Marvin Smith Dickson of Paris, Texas, and James Maurice Dickson of Garland; and six sisters, Nellie Mayburn Bass of Tulsa, Okla., Ruby Mayola Meador of Borger, Charlie Mavis Cornelius and Martha Jane Owens, both of Wellington; Lucy Marie Dickson of Kiowa and Marjorie Ruth Thomas of Lawton, Okla.

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews, including Richard Owens and wife Jackie of Memphis, Robert Owens and wife Kitty Lynn and Ralph Owens and wife Rebecca, all of Wellington.

The family suggests memorial be to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 125, McLean, TX 79057.
