Mrs. Martha Fombelle died at 5 oclock Monday morning at the family home, eight miles northeast of Decatur.She was sixty five years old last October. Her death was caused by complications following an attack of influenza. She had been ill for seven weeks.
Mrs. Fombell was born Oct. 15,1857. She was a member of the Methodist church at Tilden, Ill. For the last forty years she had resided on the farm where her death occurred and she had many friends in that vicinity.
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Mattie Austin of Maroa, Mrs. Ruth Long and W. R. Long, near Decatur and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ida Persinger, of Decatur. She also leaves two brothers, John Alexander of Cherokee ,Kan, and Henry Alexander of Pittsburg, Kan.
