Funeral srvices will be held at 2pm at Smith Funeral Home in Newton with buriel at Ford Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon today at the funeral home.
Born in Jasper, Robert grew up in Bon Wier, Texas, graduated from Newton High School Class of 1965, married Shiela Jeans from Merryville, Louisiana and together they had three children. They lived in Houston part of their married life and then moved back to Louisiana, building a home in Merryville, Louisiana. Evidentually, Robert and Shiela divorced, he married Cathy Lott and they made their home in Bon Wier.
Robert was predeceased by his parents, Casey and Ernice Jones and is survived by his wife, Cathy, his sons, Casey and Chris Jones, both of Lake Charles, Louisiana and his daughter, Mandy Jones of Merryville, his stepson and stepdaughter, Chadd Lott and Kiley Lott of Merryville, one sister, Ila Martin of Houston, Texas.
