Jesse Lawrence, 84, an employee of the Colorado Springs Parks and Recreation Department before his retirement, died Oct. 28, 1995, at a local care center.
Inurnment will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave., with the Rev. Glenn
McPherson officiating.
Mr. Lawrence was born May 13, 1911, in Wingo, KY, to Lemuel Lawrence and Gardie McClure. Mr. Lawrence had been an area resident since 1929.
He is survived by two brothers, Lemuel W. "Bill" of Winfield, MO., and Robert of Colorado Springs; and two sisters, Mary Sabbag of Warren, Mich., and Adele Taylor of Jacksonville, Fla..........Information provided by FAG contributor Ellie Sparks
