Sadie Bratton Greene

Mrs. Sadie Bratton Greene, age 72, of 4721 Wildcat Road, Deep Gap, died Tuesday evening, March 17, 2009, at Glenbridge Health Care Center.
Mrs. Greene was born September 3, 1936 in Pulaska, Virginia, a daughter of the late Charlie and Lilly Williams Bratton.
She was a retired employee of Marsh Furniture Company and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.
Mrs. Greene is survived her husband, Kenneth L. Greene of the home; one daughter, Donna Greene Cline and husband David of Asheboro, and one son, Dwight Greene of Greensboro. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Carolyn Greene and Brenda Haught; one sister and five brothers.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sadie B. Greene will be conducted Thursday afternoon, March 19, 2009, at 1:00 o'clock, at Cornerstone Baptist Church. The body will lie in state, at the church, from 12:00 until 1:00 o'clock. Officiating will be Reverend Eric Proffitt, Reverend Sherrill Wellborn, Pastor Rick Cornejo and Reverend Randall Greene.
Burial will follow in the Cornerstone Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, Thursday afternoon, from 12:00 until 1:00 o'clock, at the church, prior to the service.
