Mrs. John L. Elliott

After an illness of 11 years, Mrs. Effa Bloodsworth Elliott, wife of John L. Elliott, died yesterday in the Deer's Head Hospital at the age of 71 years.

Forty-nine years ago she married Mr. Elliott, who is a well known boat builder. For over a decade she was a partial invalid, confined to her bed for 4 ½ years. She had been a patient at Deer's Head Hospital only one day.

A native of Crocheron, Mrs. Elliott was born Sept.11, 1891, a daughter of the late Andrew J. and Cora Bramble Bloodsworth.

She was a member of Bethany Methodist Church.

Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter and son-in-law and a son, both of Crocheron. There are six surviving grandchildren, She also leaves a number of nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Dan Walker will conduct services at the LeCompte Funeral Home Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock with interment in Dorchester Memorial Park.

Friend may call at the funeral home tonight 7:30 to 9 p.m.
