Ethel Estelle Jones Blackburn, 89, of Hudson, formerly of Monticello died November 9, 1992 at St Joseph's Hospital, Bloomington. Graveside services were held November 12 at Monticello Cemetery.

Mrs. Blackburn was born November 23, 1902 in Bluff City, Tennessee d/o W. H. and Sarah Lyons Jones. She married Homer C. Blackburn December 5, 1921. He died January 29, 1971. Survivors include a son, H. Glenn Blackburn of LaPlacentia CA; two daughters: Sharon Silvey, Hudson; and Helen Armstrong, Joliet; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rose Perry of Bluff City TN. She was preceded in death by two daughters, two sisters and three brothers.

Mrs. Blackburn was a former nurse's aide at the Piatt County Nursing Home and Kirby Hospital, Monticello. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monticello and attended Hudson Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
