Clifton Guy Sherry was the son of William Mathias Sherry and Clara Edna Shaffer.

He married Mary Elizabeth Brocious on 2 Jun 1925 in Timblin, Jefferson Co., PA.

CLIFTON GUY SHERRY

HAWTHORN - Clifton Guy Sherry, 72, of New Bethlehem RD 1 (McWilliams) died May 11, 1973 at his home.

Born Dec. 25, 1900 in Jefferson County, he was the son of William M. and Clara E. Shaffer Sherry.

Mr. Sherry had been a carpenter most of his life. He was a member of the Mudlic United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, the former Mary E. Brocious; six sons, James, Sugar Grove, Fred, Mayport, Homer, Arlington, Va., Guy, Camp LeJeune, N.C., Charles, New Bethlehem, Clifton, New Bethlehem RD 2; four daughters, Mrs. Dean (Dorothy) Miller, New Bethlehem RD 3, Mrs. John (Ruth) Cramer, New Bethlehem, Mrs. Dale (Judy) Brocious, Knox, Marge Sherry, Fairmount City RD 1; 26 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lewis Sherry, Bradford, William Sherry, Zelienople; two sisters, Mrs. Spurgeon (Lula) Smith, New Bethlehem RD 1, and Mrs. Frank (Pearl) Womeldorf, Reedsville.

Two daughters, Ruby and Lois, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held May 14, 1973 at 1:30 p.m. in the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home, Hawthorn, with the Rev. Lee Karns officiating.

Interment was in the North Freedom Cemetery.
