The former Ella Roberts, she was born June 27, 1891, at Milton, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roberts. On Oct. 10, 1911, she married Clarence Nigh at Stevens Point. She had lived in the Bancroft and Plainfield area all of her life since the age of 13.
Funeral services for Mrs. Nigh are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Plainfield Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mary Murray officiating. Burial will take place in the Plainfield Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Goult - Patterson - Hardell Funeral Home in Plainfield.
Mrs. Nigh is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Pansy Elder, Sugar Tree, Ariz., Mrs. Clifford (Effie) Banks, Plainfield, and Mrs. Harold (Vila) Mohr, 2041 Oak St.; three sons, Clarence Emerson Nigh, Hancock, Henry Helmus Nigh, Plainfield, and Emery Nigh, Arpin; one brother, Clarence Roberts, Waupaca; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
One brother, two sisters and one son preceded her in death."
