James Larkin "Lark" is the son of George Taylor Prestridge and Sarrah Elizabeth "Sally" Moore Prestridge. He married Cynthia Margaret Wright 16 Apr 1911 in Cheyenne, Roger Mills Co., OK. They were the parents of eight children, Ola Lois, Lola May, Herbert June, Homer Lee, Geroge Harold, Lillie Rae, John Leroy and Margaret Louise.
Lark and Cynthia lived in Roger Mills County until 1933. They moved to Deming, Luna Co., New Mexico and farmed five miles west of Deming, raising sheep and crops untli 1945 when they moved to Fresno, California. Lark was a dairy farmer and carpenter in Fresno. Lark and Cynthia celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on 16 Apr 1961 with a family gathering of seventy guest at their home in Fresno. Lark liked to read, work in his flower beds and enjoyed fishing. Lark was a big tease.
