"Monday night at 6 o'clock near Kirklin, occurred the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Hopp, she dying at the home of her son, E. L. Hopp. Death was due to apoplexy. She was a pioneer of the county. Besides the son, at whose home she died, she is survived by three other children, Mrs. Nancy Mitchell, of this city, Mrs. Arthur Cross, and Joseph Hopp, of Thorntown. She was a member of the M. E. church. The funeral will be held some time Thursday at the Brush Creek church."
