Guy Adams Sr.
KINGS MOUNTAIN Mr. Guy Leroy Adams Sr., 81, died Thursday, May 1, 2003, at Hospice of Cleveland County.
Born March 31, 1922, in Eustis, Neb., he was a son of the late Fred Adams and Emma Brewer Adams. He retired from Carnation Corp. as a mechanical engineer. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and served in the Air Force during World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Iris Esty Adams.
He is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Guy Jr. and Jeane Adams, and Jeffrey and Susan Adams, all of Lawndale; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Lee Adams and Bruce Elwell of Raleigh; grandchildren, Lee Adams, Anna Adams, Jeff Adams, Brian Elwell, Rachel Elwell, Austin Elwell and Ashley Elwell; and one great-grandchild, Haley Adams.
Burial will be in Cleveland Memorial Park.
