David was born November 17, 1938 to Linzy and Gladys Villers in Cedar Lake, Ind. David was a brick layer for many years, a member of the Eagles Lodge in Excelsior Springs and enjoyed fishing.
David was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Paul and Linzy Jr. Villers; one sister, Margaret Moore; son, David Villers Jr.; and his late wife, Lillian Villers.
He leaves behind his wife, Dorothy Villers of the home; two daughters, Leonora (Oscar) Feldman of Shawnee Mission, Kans., and Terry Wrisinger of Kearney, Mo.; four sons, Allen (Maria) Villers of Mansfeld, Texas, Mike (Johnna) Villers of Liberty, Mo., Carl Villers and Don (Jessica) Villers, both of Excelsior Springs; one stepson, Mike King of Independence, Mo.; two step daughters, Amy Morgan of Oak Grove, Mo., and Tina Sheerer of Nevada, Mo.; 12 grandchildren, Joseph Prado, Manny Prado, Jennifer Villers, Krista Villers, Jered Feldman, Leilani Cobb, Candace Feldman, Leslie Pack, Gary Wrisinger, Kendra Villers, Chase Villers and Dakota Villers; eight step grandchildren, Tapanga, Phillip, Hunter, Hellker and Seth King, Summer, Bentley, and Payton Sheerer; eight great grandchildren, Gavin Cobb, Kanoa Cobb, Cozmo Prado, Ella Prado, Jazlyn Jester, Macie Pack, Madison Wrisinger and Zane Geenens; one brother, Bill Villers of Texas; three sisters, Betty Perkins of Excelsior Springs, Barbara (Glenn) Clevenger, and Mary (David) Stanley; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2013 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2013, also at the funeral home, with burial and full military honors following at North New Garden Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo. The family suggests memorial contributions to NorthCare Hospice.
