Former Ranchester resident Howard Russell Roadifer, 66, of Greeley, Colo., died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, at his residence. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Greeley. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Garden in Greeley, under direction of Allnutt Funeral Service. Visitation will be noon until 8 p.m. Wednesday in Allnutt Funeral Service's Macy Chapel. Mr. Roadifer was born Oct. 15, 1935, in Sundance to Raymond and Margaret (Bosworth) Roadifer. He grew up and attended school in Sundance. He was a military veteran and worked on various ranches in Wyoming and Montana. He worked for the town of Ranchester for four years. He moved to Greeley in 1983. He married Catherine Mathews there Feb. 14, 1983. He was a member and board member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Survivors include his wife, of Greeley; three stepsons, James and Paul Mathews, both of Greeley, and Stephen Mathews of LaSalle, Colo.; three sisters, Edith Cunningham and Leona Peters, both of Montana, and Cynthia Garner of North Carolina; four brothers, Ernie, Frank and Wayne Roadifer, all of Wyoming, and Raymond Roadifer of California; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
