Mrs. Harpine was born Feb 4, 1900 in Rockingham County and was a daughter of Henry T and Sue Garber Shickel. She had lived her entire life in Rockingham County and was a member of Montezuma Church of the Brethren and the women's fellowship. She had worked at the Stehli Silk Mill amd Shenandoah Poultry snack bax.
Survivors include three sisters, Ida Grady, Ruth R Shirkey and Irene Whitmer, all of Dayton.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Montezuma Church of the Brethreen by the Revs. James M Beckwith and Ronald Wyrick. Burial will follow in Beaver Creek Church Cemetery.
