The source used for the death date comes from a correction made by National SAR headquarters during the review of my SAR application in May 2009. They corrected my information and wrote in 25 Jul 1850. Last payment on pension was Sept 4 1846 (information from DAR) and there is no fed census for John Green in 1850, since it was enumerated after his death.

John and Mary Hill Green(e) had 10 children:

2 sons who where under 16 on the 1790 census
Mary Green b. 1793
Christopher Green b. 1794
Henry M Green b. 1796
Joel Green b. 1799
John Green b. 1800 (he disappears from the family)
Esther H Green b. 1801
Amon L. Green b. 1803
Electa Green b. 1810
