OBITUARY :
Funeral services for JAMES LEWIS SHOCKEY of Roanoke, 83, will be held here at 2 p.m. Friday in Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Buchanan officiating.

A native of Roanoke, Mr. Shockey was a retired farmer and a Baptist. He died Thursday morning in the Grapevine Hospital after a long illness.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Ola Mae Shockey; five sons, Marvin Shockey of Smithfield, J. H. Shockey and Homer L. Shockey, both of Fort Worth, Darrell Shockey of Hurst, and J. R. Woody of Carrollton; four daughters, Mrs. Alma Ross of Fort Worth, Mrs. Betty Roberts of Shreveport, La., Imogene James of Lewisville and Mrs. Loretta Payne of Denton; a brother, I. N. Shockey of Fort Worth: three sisters, Mrs. Lilly Churchman of Denton and Mrs. Pearl Cunningham and Mrs. Ethel Huffman, both of Fort Worth, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Medlin Cemetery with Foust Funeral Home of Grapevine in charge of arrangements.
