John Milton Marr
John Milton Marr passed away April 10, 2002, in his home. Milton was born in Ira, Texas on December 30, 1901 to John Henry and Nancy Martin Marr.

A Graveside Service will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, April 12, 2002 at Ector County Cemetery with Brother Luther Whitlow officiating.

On July 31, 1926, he married Sarah Elizabeth Lee, in Odessa. She preceded him in death on July 6, 1994. Also preceding him in death were his children Dora Lee Shubert, Nancy Laura Perkins and son, John Milton Marr, Jr.

Milton is survived by a son, Charles Richard Marr of Brownwood; daughters, Florence E. Edwards of Grandbury, Elizabeth Graham of Thatcher, Arizona, and Mary Lyn Marr of Odessa; a nephew, Paul Marr of Seattle, Washington; and a niece, Gerri Sachse of Ft. Worth. His living legacy includes 16 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Marr was a lease operator, retired from Gulf Oil Corporation in December 1965, after 22 years of service.

John Milton Marr was a Jehovah's Witness. His firm belief was in a future life on this earth, under Jesus Christ's rule as king over Jehovah God's Kingdom.
