Carolyn Davis, 94, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at the Malden Nursing Center.
Born March 7, 1907, in Post Stoke, Ark., daughter of the late William and Frances Benson Seward, she was a member of the Zion Grove Baptist Church in Malden.
In 1924, she married Robert Emmett Davis, who preceded her in death in June, 1958. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Cloteen Davis; two grandsons, Steven Stone and William Stone, Jr.; five sisters, Delia Porter, Rose Johnson, Pinkie Brandy, Sadie Burton and Gracie Cato and two brothers, William and Ervin Seward.
Survivors include five daughters, Darlene Armstead, Jean Davidson and Margaret Smith Williamson, all of Malden, Juanita Price, of Chicago, Ill. and Christine Davis, of Maywood, Ill.; one son, Robert Emmett Davis, Jr. and wife, Deborah Davis, of Chicago; one sister, King Person, of Diaz, Ark.; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Macedonia MB Church in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Macedonia MB Church with the Revs. Larry Simmons and Margaret Smith Williamson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Rosewood Cemetery in Malden.
