Lillian Still Anderson Francis, 80, of 15905 Mount Cross Road, died Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Danville Regional Medical Center. Born August 31, 1928, in the Axton community of Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Albert Still and Pricie Perkins Still. She was married to Garnett Perry Francis who survives her.

Mrs. Francis was a graduate of Axton High School. She worked for Dan River Mills for 21 years and later worked for Brown Products of Axton. She was a member and Treasurer of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She had been in declining health for the past three years and a patient in the hospital for eight days.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Ramona McDaniel of Cascade; two sons, James Earl Anderson and Berley Edward Anderson both of Danville; four sisters, Betty Marlowe of Callands, Frances Inman of Axton, Sara Grogan of Axton and Lizzie Wilcox of Martinsville. Also surviving are six Grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren and nine step great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Earl Anderson; a son, Jerry Leon Anderson; a sister, Rebecca Smith and two brothers, Walker and Edward Still.

A graveside service will be held, 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2009 at Floral Hills Memory Gardens with the Rev. J. B. Baldridge officiating.
