ANNISTON — Graveside services for Grover V. Champion, age 84, of Anniston, will be on Wednesday, at 11 a.m., at Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Miller Funeral Home. Mr. Champion died on Saturday at Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Cook Champion; daughter, Sharon Willis and her husband, John; daughter, Belinda Clark; son, Jerry Champion and his wife, Marie; sister, Margaret Fuller; brother, Otis Champion; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mr. Champion was a native of Anniston and was a former resident of Tyler, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr and Mrs. Lester
Champion; brother, Dewitt Champion; brother, Jack Champion; and a grandson, Stephen Champion.
