My Great Grandmother died when she was 46. I am now 2 years older (2011) than she was when she died. I can not imagine how my grandmother felt. And her a mother at the time with the start of her large family.
As you can see from her picture, I believe that she was very pretty. My oldest aunt, Betty Jean one time told me that when she was younger that they would call her "Big Mama"and their mother "Little Mama". This being because she was taller than 'mawmaw'; my grandmother, her daughter.
You both were strong ladies. Loved and missed often. I write of these two ladies together; since I never knew my great grandmother "Big Mama", except for that she was once married & divorced. She never married again.
